Los Altos and Mountain View share a border along El Camino, and for anyone living on the north side of Los Altos we are closer than most of the restaurants in your own downtown. The drive up California Street takes a few minutes and does not involve the traffic that builds along San Antonio Road.
Los Altos is not short of good food, but it is short of Turkish food and short of halal grills. Families in the area who keep halal usually end up driving to Santa Clara or Sunnyvale for grilled meat. We are considerably closer than either.
